Twisting and spiralling with three tiers of wooden decking and thatch, the central dining and lounge area of the lodge is an eclectic mix of shapes and textures. It feels simple yet tasteful, as if you are high up in the treetops. There is a tiny library, and a fireplace adds to the bush atmosphere. A striking swimming pool is built against large granite rocks, with views in every direction - and a couple of loungers to soak them up.
There are 25 elevated, thatch and canvas-walled chalets, linked to the main lodge via raised timber walkways. Each has a charming outdoor deck to take in the expansive Serengeti surrounds. Hardwood floors and fold-out glass doors form the framework for the spacious bedrooms, and well-appointed, wooden furnishings in earthy tones are complimented by soft cottons. Suites have an extended lounge area, with canvas windows to make the most of the spectacular views. Outdoor showers are a fun and adventurous touch.
This is the spot that people gravitate to when it comes to viewing the Great Migration in full swing, which makes the Western Corridor rather crowded during peak season, but this should not deter you from witnessing this spectacular wildlife event. Their are daily game drives (no night drives) from the lodge and hot air balloon safaris for the adventurous. For relaxation in between, laze next to the beautiful swimming pool with vast panoramic views or spoil yourself at the onsite Nomadic African Spa.
