As we hinted at before, there are plenty of places to eat at The Leela. The Citrus provides all-day-dining on international cuisine; Jamavar is their signature Indian restaurant; Le Cirque Signature serves up Franco-Italian dishes in an elegant dining room; The Great Wall offers Chinese specialities in a retro setting and the Six Degrees bar comes with a poolside terace, and inside, a sleek setting. You can also enjoy high tea at the elegant Lobby Lounge or Royal Club, a range of treatments at the spa (and salon!) or yoga by the pool.
The Leela has a wide selection of rooms, each with a king size bed, pillow menu, en-suite bathroom and neutral interiors with a splash of colour in the patterned rugs and framed artwork. There are 303 city or pool view premier rooms, 58 Royal Club rooms with a private butler and access to the Royal Club; and 30 suites of different calibres. On the 7th and 8th floors, the suites are decorated with traditional motifs and come with a private butler, massage showers, a dining area and lounge. The Presidential suites have the added bonus of a jacuzzi!
Although The Leela is outside of central Mumbai, a drive into the city will supply you with plenty to do. Begin your adventures in Mumbai with a heritage walk or cycling tour. Visit the Gateway of India and the grand Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, one of the city's most iconic landmarks. Explore the 150-year-old Chor Bazaar with its endless antiques, soak in the fragrance of Dadar Flower Market and enjoy views of the Arabian Sea as you stroll down Juhu Beach.
A sweltering combination of passion, exuberance, history and 18 million people – welcome to Mumbai!
