Property details

The property

The manor house should be nicknamed ‘the white house’. The colour permeates the shared space, creating a fresh, modern look softened by scatter cushions, throws and artwork in a more earthy palette. There is an elegant indoor lounge with fireplace as well as a roofed outdoor lounge, overlooking the pool (ideal for those simmering summer afternoons). Dine inside or outside or even at the Boma. Breakfast can also be enjoyed in the sunny breakfast room.

The rooms

The four bedrooms are laid-out with two on each side of the house. Take your pick. The luxury air-conditioned suites are spacious with high ceilings, carpeted floors and king size beds. The en-suite bathrooms are the perfect combination of contemporary and colonial with his and her basins, a shower and freestanding bath. After a day in the sun, wildlife tracking, you'll love your private patio with outdoor lounge and your clean and comfy bed of soft, cotton linens.

Activities

Samara Private Game Reserve is a 70 000 acre protected area. The famous farming area was once the site of massive antelope migrations and the powerful Cape lion. The owners have taken the regeneration of this land to heart and this conservation success story offers a compelling game drive with springbok, wildebeest and buffalo as well as cheetah, rhino and giraffe. Rare sightings such as the elusive aardvark happen on occasion. Also enjoy a braai in the boma, a bush walk or night drive. The choice is yours.
