The ultra-modern entrance foyer sets the tone of the hotel, with its contemporary décor, sleek lines and calming grey and white palate. The fabulous “Umi” Japanese restaurant and chic cocktail bar have front row seats on the busy promenade, while the sheltered courtyard swimming pool and bar is a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel also has two day spas, a hair salon, an elegant lounge and well-stocked library.
The eleven lavish suites each have a unique design, with elegant furnishings and décor in subtle charcoal greys and off-whites, and stunning artwork on the walls. The huge bathrooms, complete with rain showers and deep bath tubs, have mirrored panels, giving an extra sense of space and light. Mountain Suites face onto the slopes of the Twelve Apostles, while those along the front have beautiful ocean views (worth the extra pennies for sure!) The larger suites have private balconies with a jacuzzi and an outdoor shower.
The Marly is superbly positioned for strolling along the Promenade, and soaking up the sun on Camps Bay beach. The Table Mountain cableway is close by for an easy ride to the top, or you could hike the scenic trails for something more energetic. All the major city attractions – the V&A Waterfront, museums and art galleries, and fantastic markets – are within easy reach, with the scenic Southern Peninsula and famous Cape winelands offering great options for day trips.
