Property details

The property

Set up in a secluded spot on the crater rim, the camp has six tents and a shared tented area. Inside the central tent, you'll find a bar cabinet and lounge area with cushioned benches and bean bags. Enjoy three-course meals under the stars, or in the cosy mess tent if the weather plays up. By the fire, sip on sundowners or steaming hot drinks as you exchange memories from the day.

The rooms

Split into two groups, the six domed canvas tents come with thick, foam double or twin beds covered in crisp linens and green blankets. Your private bathroom is found just outside the tent, and has a compost toilet and hot bush-bucket shower (very welcome after a day of exploring). Simple but functional, your tent also includes woven laundry baskets, rustic side tables and safari-style lamps.

Activities

The Ngorongoro Crater is no stranger to incredible wildlife sightings, all found inside this centuries old (and long-erupted) volcano. The Crater has earned its stripes as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and its plentiful residents include the rare black rhino, majestic elephant and the black-maned lion. Amongst the waving savannah grasses and dense forest, you can also spot stalking cheetah, wildebeest, zebra and plains game galore.
