What to do in Nature’s Valley
Take a wild and rugged coastline, add one of South Africa’s most famous (and excellent) multi-day hiking trails, and an unspoilt stretch of snow-lily sand, and what do you get? Nature's Valley of course! This pristine piece of paradise is all about breathing in the great outdoors and topping up your nature bank from lagoon swims to beach strolls and lazy, meandering days exploring the surrounds, no plan required.
But, if there’s one thing Nature's Valley is known for, it’s the outstanding walking and hiking. You’ll be spoiled for choice for routes and trails and every member of the family will be catered for. Set out for a couple of hours in the forest, through the old Outeniqua yellowwoods and the Cape chestnuts, and watch out for the colourful birdlife; or challenge yourself to the famous Otter Trail, a 42-kilometre, 5-day expedition, criss-crossing rivers and navigating the craggy coastline.
