Buffalo Camp is situated in an isolated part of North Luangwa National Park, one of Zambia’s wildest and truly untouched areas. The camp operates between June and November, and is dismantled at the end of each season and rebuilt the following year. Just six basic reed-and-thatch tents are well spaced out beneath the trees on a bend of the seasonal Mwaleshi River. This no-frills camp offers exciting game viewing, with the emphasis on exploring on foot. Expect an authentic wilderness experience in a region renowned for its enormous herds of buffalo, ever-present predators, remarkable birdlife, and few human visitors.

Set in the vast wilderness of Zambia's North Luangwa National Park, little Takwela Camp is pioneering a new activity in the region.
