What to do in Stellenbosch

A highlight of South Africa, the Cape Winelands attract oenophiles (and many others!) from near and far, and the old-time town of Stellenbosch is a fantastic introduction to the area. Its oak-lined streets are ideal for a walkabout, with Cape Dutch architecture to ogle at, plenty of museums and galleries to visit, and a variety of fabulous restaurants and wine bars to stop at. Then, to the wine! Tootle into the mountains on a tour of Stellie’s vineyards where you’ll enjoy traditional tastings as well as wine, chocolate and cheese pairings - some even provide custom juice tastings for the kids. At sunset, ride amongst the grapes on horseback before returning to your luxury lodge or hotel for the night.
