The Timbuktu website is excellent, allowing you to plan a customised and personal itinerary. Once completed an agent will contact you and chat about your needs and/ check the lodges/camps have availability for your dates. It's a premium service as they then engage local agents to deliver the tours. It works really well and I would use Timbuktu again. Jonty was very patient with all my thoughts and changes especially as we began the discussions in January 2000 and had to postpone until end December 2023!

Timbuktu was incredibly easy to work with. They were responsive, made great suggestions, checked out my suggestions and addressed all of my concerns. Incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. They provided information about all aspects in one concise email once I booked. I feel cared for and safe traveling to Africa. I will use them again!!

The entire Timbuktu team was amazing to work with. They helped us created our dream honeymoon and made us feel taken care of every step of the way, from initial planning to the duration of our trip.

Timbuktu is doing a great job in making our trip to Namibia over Christmas I would say. It's our second time to let Timbuktu manage my trip in Africa and we found it reliable and we were looked after once we landed in Windhoek. Annie is very responsive when it comes to itinerary enquiries and it's the right agent if you look at the high end travel in Africa especially we would like to make it an entirely private tour. The only matter we thought there is room for improvement is the communication with the local agency, as we haven't been informed that there wouldn't be anything to do on Christmas Day in swakopm in the planning stage and we would make an adjustment if we learnt this when we confirmed the itinerary.

Everyone at Timbuktu was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Their response time was quick to any question I had, and my trip went off without a hitch!

Meagan, our tour organizer, was amazing and patient with changes, solutions, new ideas, suggestions and recommendations. She was very accomodating and we are very happy with the results. We liked the choices we got, and compared to other safari organizations, the price of the trip for 2 was reasonable.

I've worked with Joanna at Timbuktu a few times and she has always delivered! She is great at recommending options that fit our needs and has always been available to answer questions and make recommendations.

From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were treated like royalties. Incredible attention and dedication in so many ways, both the accommodation the guide the drivers and all the staff gave high level personal service. We were greeted by names. We feel very at home. Of course the selection of menu was excellent but most importantly I could request any thing I wanted. We love Queen our driver and Eric our spotter but especially our breakfast in the field and having drinks while watching sunsets. We saw all the big 5 and more. Gift our cook was incredible. The only thing I would wish to have was a bag of cookies provided in the bedroom 😋
