Jenna and Timbuktu team were a tremendous resource while planning our adventure of a lifetime from Cairo to Cape Town. Each day unfolded seamlessly with stellar accommodations ranging from safari eco tents to spa like lodge oasis. Timbuktu did a great job of planning and executing our trip. They stayed within our budget and we enjoyed every aspect of the trip. The lodges we stayed at all provided outstanding service. Assilia the ground operator did I a fantastic job logistically and their guides and drivers were excellent.

We had a trip of a lifetime to Cape Town and the Eastern Cape (Kwandwe Great Fish Lodge). Tessa was an incredible trip coordinator, especially because we had so many mishaps. We were meant to leave in May, but our flight was canceled twice while we were at the airport. After rescheduling, we had a death in the family, so we had to reschedule again last minute. She was incredibly understanding and with us every step of the way. She coordinated seamlessly with partners and got us everything we wanted for our honeymoon and then some. While our original itinerary had planned for Kruger, she was able to find us an incredible lodge in the Eastern Cape that was somehow even better! Each private tour in Cape Town, from being picked up at the airport to the food tour to the winelands to the Cape of Good Hope were more than we could have imagined. The communication from start to finish during the planning process, during the trip and even afterwards was top notch. I've traveled all over Europe and the Middle East before and never used a travel company, so this was my first time and I will 100% be using Timbuktu again. The ease and care that they put into planning shows!

Wonderful experience booking with Timbuktu. Jenna prepared several options for us and adapted rapidly to our last-minute requests for changes. She used her first-hand experience to recommend several options within our budget. The website is brilliant, and the information post-booking is very comprehensive. Highly recommended.

We used Timbuktu to assist in planning our honeymoon to Kenya. We had an amazing experience from the first consultation. Our consultant Annie was extremely responsive and created the perfect itinerary for us. Our safari guide, Patrick, was so great! It was the trip of a lifetime and Timbuktu made it happen. We can't wait to book with them again!

The staff at Timbuktu always listens to what you really desire to see and do on your trip and makes it happen. They respond to your emails very quickly and do not mind working with you to make any last minute changes. They always give you a detailed outline of your trip before you go and make sure you have all the important information on hand.

I worked with Tessa on this trip. Through the whole process, I have felt truly taken care of and Tessa a delight to work with. She responded quickly to all my concerns and questions and her breadth of knowledge on South Africa helped shape the kind of trip I wanted to achieve. I normally plan my trips, but I felt this was an entirely different world (which for me it is) and to have someone like Tessa handle things so beautifully was a gift. Having drivers and guides was a wonderful luxury. The safari lodge, staff, food, drives, etc. were incredible. The staff went above and beyond and the food was plentiful and delicious. All our other hotels were top notch and again the staff and service impeccable. The people of South Africa are some of the nicest in the world. I will highly recommend Tessa and Timbuktu to everyone I can. Thank you again, and hopefully I can use them in the near future. Much gratitude and appreciation.
