Great service and good experience all around. Had a wonderful trip thanks to Timbuktu.

Timbuktu helped put together a trip of a lifetime for us through Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We provided our wishes to them, and Annie and the company arranged flights and accommodation that best suited our budget. They arranged for people to meet us on arrival in Nairobi (where we started our safari), and everything went smoothy for each translocation, just as they had arranged. When our final flight to Nairobi was cancelled by the airline, they readily stepped forward to reimburse us the taxi ride we were forced to take as an alternative. We are extremely happy with all they did for us.

When a last-minute change of travel plans opened an opportunity for our family of four to take a 10-day Kenya safari tour, Tessa of Timtuktu worked out an itinerary in a matter of days that featured high-quality full-service accommodations and personal safari and Nairobi guided tours. Our stay at the Mara Bush Houses was enchanting! With key logistical hurdles taken care of by Tessa and her in-country partners, we could relax and focus on enjoying the wonders of Kenya! It was the trip of a lifetime!

We worked with Carola for a trip to Patagonia. She is very knowledgeable of the area and immediately gave us an itinerary we could work with. Communication was swift and clear. Their website is a great tool to help with the process step by step. We’re looking forward to our trip.

I was overwhelmed with timing, flights, locations in planning a family trip to South Africa and I could not believe how much easier Timbuktu made my trip planning. The ability to choose your location, the comparison of lodges, coupled with the quick and reliable team made this incredibly easy. I've been impressed with the specifics and to-do lists that Timbuktu has provided (also removing a lot of stress). And the staff has been so helpful, looking into very specific circumstances that have made our trip even more personal.

I booked our Southern Africa trip of a lifetime through Timbuktu because of the website as I wanted to build the trip myself not have to conform to a pre-planned package. Once the trip started to manifest, Tessa from Timbuktu reached out and all of the sudden things were happening. I had built the trip in a very linear fashion and Tessa knew that the internal flights didn’t work that way, so she helped rearrange the trip in a way that actually worked logistically. Furthermore, she recommended a lodge that wasn’t on our radar and it ended up being a spot on recommendation for my husband and I. We loved it and would absolutely come back with family/friends. Overall, everything went smoothly and according to plan with no hiccups. When people were supposed to meet us, someone met us. I felt incredibly well taken care of and was able to leave worries at home. Will 100% use Timbuktu in the future and recommend to everyone. (I just want them to add more destinations like Australia/N.Z. and Europe).

I had a wonderful experience with the travel expert who helped me, Jeffi. They were always prompt in responding to my queries, requests, and concerns, which made the planning process much smoother than if I had done it by myself. Also, we loved everything on our trip. Everything was planned to perfection and we were treated very kindly throughout the whole trip.
