I did a self-drive tour in Souh Africa. Kristin designed a great itinerary for me. She was also helpful in providing recommendations/suggestions. All of the accomodations were great. I can't wait to book another trip. At the time of booking, Kristin was very responsive and always answered all of my questions or concerns.

As a solo female traveler, the Timbuktu Travel experience ticked a lot of boxes for me. First, the level of dedication from my agent, Joanna, was incredible. I emphasize incredible because one of the best features of this travel service is the website...where you can search thru amazing options for countries and lodging and create the trip of your dreams. I planned 2 trips (South Africa / Zambia) with the use of their website and Joanna brought them to life with her expert guidance and realistic view points. Her work with the ground teams meant that no detail was missed. This allowed me to feel safe in all my travels and enjoy the incredible experience that Africa offers.

Jonty was supper helpful and gave us so many suggestions which was great. Would recommend Timbuktu!

This was our first travel to Africa and frankly, planning it to meet our hopes and expectations was daunting. I can't remember how we stumbled onto Timbuktu but so thankful we did. Catherine listened to what we wanted to experience and she matched it to our personal travel style and personalities. So good.

Joanna is the BEST!!! This is our second time booking a major trip with Timbuktu and second time with Joanna. She continues to exceed expectations with her exceptional service. She is always patient and more than helpful in providing recommendations/suggestions. And if there is ever an issue that arises, she is very quick to present solution options and alternatives. Specifically this time Joanna searched high and low for options for our Nile cruise boat when we found our first picks no longer had availability and ended up finding a brand new boat that met our desired criteria. Then, when, a week before we departed for our trip itself and learned the ship we were booked on ended up giving us the boot in favor of a private charter, she informed us immediately and made sure we were set on another ship that they moved our reservation to.

Our travel agent,Kristin, had everything planned perfectly. Our accommodations were exactly what we wanted. All of our transfers were on time, friendly drivers, and very accommodating to our needs. The safari camps were above and beyond our expectations, the staff was so friendly and attentive. The same with our accommodations and experience in Mozambique, we were very impressed. All of our meals were so fresh and delicious.

Kristin Jessup was exceptional from first contact. She listened and we collaborated to get a great itinerary that met our needs. She was proactive and responsive, as well as knowledgeable and attentive to detail.
