So far, we have been very pleased with our Timbuktu experience. A friend of ours used and recommended them. I'm so glad we went with them when we started to plan our African safari vacation. I usually do our vacation planning, but the thought of trying to coordinate an African vacation was too much. Kristin has been awesome from the start. We told her what we were looking for in a vacation and she put together an preliminary itinerary. We made just a few changes, but it was basically exactly what we were looking for. The price we were quoted was in line with what we were thinking we would pay for this amazing trip. She was never pushy towards one location, hotel, or excursion option over another. She has been efficient and quick to respond with any and all questions. We still have months until we can actually leave, but I have no doubt that from now until then and even after we return, she will be there if we need her. Now we just need June to arrive!!

In working with Kristin; she understood my desire to do a safari, experience an elephant sanctuary and stay within budget as a solo female traveler! She helped me navigate through the overwhelming amount of options and narrow it down to where I felt safe, activities I wanted to participate in and kept me within a reasonable budget!

We were planning a holiday at very short notice (2 weeks) and over the Christmas holiday shut down. Timbuktu took up the challenge where a number of other companies declined. Katie, our travel specialist, had an intimate knowledge of the area we were wanting to visit and was able to draw up a well thought out itinerary which we were then able to discuss and modify on Katie's advice. We would not hesitate in recommending Timbuktu.
