Multi-day walking safaris in the South Luangwa

Safaris haven’t always been about hopping in a vehicle and traversing the plains on four wheels. Back in the day, it was all about walking from one camp to the next (with a jam sandwich if you were lucky!). Today, the South Luangwa is one of the last remaining places where trail walking is still possible. Book a selection of neighbouring camps and you’ll walk through tangled mopane forests and criss-cross bleached-sand riverbeds as you move from camp to camp (and you might get more than a jam sandwich too).
