Dining ranges from traditional dishes in the elegant Amarsar (which used to be the royal quarters) to meals slow-cooked in sandpits at the Nazaara terrace (to the tune of folk songs). Down the hill, you'll find the Mediterranean poolside restaurant and bar. Indulge in soothing treatments at the Spa Alila in the atmospheric dungeon or a soak in the infinity pool; relax with a book in the library or enjoy the many places to lounge in the gardens - fancy a stroll through the orchard?
Alila has a variety of rooms and suites, each comes with king-sized or twin beds, a minibar, a large wooden wardrobe and sitting area - all decorated in creamy tones. The rooms range from the simpler Heritage Rooms to the more luxury suites, each with a scenic view of the mountains or fields. The suites have a large, round bed and large circular bathtub to match, a cushy window seat and double vanity counter. The crown jewel of Alila is the Presidential Suite, which is a bubble of champagne hues with a private terrace and dining area.
Enjoy a well-being day beginning with yoga at sunrise then head out on a tour of the village, which is famous for its unique style of jewellery and carpet weaving - try your own hand at weaving too! For a taste of adventure, follow the horseriding trail along the old riverbed and visit a 500-year-old Hanuman temple, where you'll meet the priest before a wander through the organic garden and a picnic. Back at the fort, join a Rajasthani cooking class and afterwards, share a meal with your hosts and dabble in some popular table games.
Venture from the well-trodden trails to see a different side of the regal state.
