About Cacique Inacayal Hotel & Spa

Timeless elegance and comfort just a stone’s throw away from San Carlos de Bariloche.
Sitting pretty in an unbeatable waterfront location, Cacique Inacayal Hotel & Spa is blissfully out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Bariloche, but still close enough for a spot of exploring on foot. Inside, the original architecture, exposed wood and stones, and emblematic central atrium - boasting panoramic views of Nahuel Huapi Lake and the Argentinian Patagonia - give the hotel a distinct mountain refuge vibe and it's a lovely space to return to at the end of the day and chill-out. And speaking of relaxing, there's also an indoor pool and full-service spa with indulgent treatments - an ideal combination.

Property details

The property

The spacious common areas beckon to stop, grab a drink and sit back and enjoy the Patagonian views, be it by the fireplace, at the lively bar or the outdoor veranda. Breakfast is varied and plentiful, while Utrac restaurant serves a mix of international and regional cuisine that pairs superbly with one of the many wines from the hotel’s cellar. A great selection of signature cocktails and craft beers are available at either of the two bars, and there’s even a pool table for some evening fun. But the star of the hotel is of course the heated indoors pool - best views in the house!

The rooms

Rooms are fully carpeted and are classic, verging on functional, but very comfortable. The Suites, Superior and Comfort rooms have direct views to the stunning lake and mountains (definitely best in the house), as well as a whirlpool bathtub for a bit of pampering after a day of exploring. If travelling with the family, the Junior suite with two rooms is the perfect choice.

Activities

With the lake so close, you’d be missing out if you don’t hop on a kayak and go for an exploratory paddle. If you’re in town for skiing, the Cerro Catedral ski centre is only a 25-minute drive away, while the proximity to the civic centre makes it an ideal pick-up spot for the many excursions and activities available around - the team will happily help out with recommendations too! And of course, you can’t leave without setting aside some time to spend at the pool and the spa. You won’t regret it.

What you'll love

What you'll love

The hotel is only a few blocks away from Bariloche’s civic centre so you’ll find plenty of yummy restaurants, chocolate shops and bars within walking distance.
Insiders tip

Insiders Tip

A few of the standard rooms face the road and neighbouring disco which can get a bit loud (particularly on weekends), so if you’re a light sleeper consider upgrading to a superior room or suite - you’ll get better views too!
Something to think about

Something to think about

The rooms don’t have AC and can get quite warm throughout the day during summer, but most rooms have one or two windows that can be left open to let in some cool air at night.
