Behind the distinct white and grey walls and stained glass arches lies a collections of potted exotic plants and unusual wooden artifacts opening up to views over the local granite formations and an inviting swimming pool. The hotel is light and attractive. The lobby leads out to a large outdoor bar and simple dining area with open sides to maximize the breeze, exposed timber floors ceilings paint a very alluring and exotic picture.
Comfortable and characterful are the words that come to mind with regards to the Chateau's rooms. 25 rooms in total, 6 standard (and by that we mean very standard) 15 superior (nice and spacious) and 4 deluxe which have by far the best locations on the hillside. Both have baths as well as showers and balconies overlooking the gardens and pool. Some are more dated and varying in size than other but you cant go wrong with the deluxe option.
This is a fantastic base for a range of activities around the island. Mostly everything is in walking distance, or if you require you can hire a bike or get a transfer to take you round for the day. The swimming pool with is small shaded pagodas are wonderfully attractive for sun worshipers. Fishing and diving can be arranged.
