Strategically placed to frame the beautiful lake views, the restaurant is lined with huge windows that flood the already bright and lovely room with light. Organic fruit and vegetables grown in the garden are harvested for breakfast and the a la carte dinners, which both include an array of Chilean and international dishes. During meals, you'll chat with your host about the next adventure in store, then head to the firelit lounge area for an after dinner something. Oh, and don't forget to have your pisco sour ready at sunset to toast the day...
Built on short stilts (to preserve the natural flora), the cabins are sprinkled down the hillside, each with its own path leading to the shore. Fronted by windows, the en-suite cabins have a fantastic view from the terrace, living area and comfortable bed, and are kept toasty by a wood-burning stove. The larger cabins take their name from the view, whether it's the peaks of San Valentin or the valley below. There are also two family suites, which sit right beside the lake.
Leave the comforts of your cabin for a Patagonian excursion, whether it's sailing amongst the marble caves, a jet boat ride to see the Leones Glacier (with a picnic as you take in the scene), horseback riding across pretty meadows or ice hiking on the Exploradores Glacier. There are longer day trips to nearby reserves and trails where you won't even need a guide. If you're on a self-drive, head along the Carretera Austral to the Patagonia National Park where you could spot herds of guanacos and watch condors soaring overhead.
