About Fishermans Cove Resort

Make memories threaded with palm-backed beaches and sparkling blue ocean
Lovely Le Meridien Fisherman's Cove was the first hotel on Mahé Island and is the best known retreat in Seychelles. Established in 1943, the hotel has undergone numerous refurbishments and upgrades over the years, and has emerged to become a stunning resort with every comfort you need. It lies in tropical gardens at the end of the long white curve of beach called Beau Vallon. The views are tinted white, green and every shade of blue; the atmosphere is relaxed and homely, the suites are spacious and airy, and the food, like the Seychellois people themselves, is sublime.

Property details

The property

Beneath the traditional palm-thatched roof all is spacious and airy, with two restaurants (Le Cardinal, which holds themed evenings, and Le Bourgeois, the á la carte option). The Cocolaba Bar is in the main building; the Sunset Bar is beachfront and serves drinks and complimentary tea and coffee with home-made pastries in the afternoon. There's a pool, a tennis court, the spa and wi-fi throughout. Getting married? This is a good spot!

The rooms

The 70 rooms and suites at Fisherman's Cove are decorated in contemporary Creole style. Each is spacious and open plan, with a private sea-facing terrace or balcony with seating in which to doze. The bathroom area is huge, with a freestanding bath and shower. Everything you need has been thoughtfully provided, from an iron to dressing gowns and scales (we don't advise using these – the meals are plentiful and very, very good!). Beach towels are provided every day.

Activities

Feeling active? Have a game of tennis, explore the coastline in a canoe or go snorkelling. Waterskiing, parasailing, diving and deep-sea fishing can be arranged at a charge. If you're longing for quiet time, sunbathe on the beach or at the pool, take a long walk along the sand, have a spa treatment, treat yourself at the boutique or simply relax on your terrace and gaze at the gardens and the view.
