The facilities at Hamares are exceptional, from the modern sauna, fitness centre and spa to the restaurant that serves a curated menu of traditional Brazilian cuisine. Throughout, the contemporary design incorporates natural materials and ecological elements that complement rather than compete with the island's dramatic landscapes. Outside, there are plenty of quiet corners in the manicured gardens for reading and relaxing, whilst the bar is the perfect spot for a social sundowner.
From the garden-view Rooms to sea-view Suites (and the palatial Deluxe King Suite with its own private pool), every one of the 20 bedrooms has beautifully-tiled floors and wooden ceilings, chic ensuite bathrooms, and a soothing colour palette that will lull you into your afternoon siesta. Natural materials and earthy tones reflect Fernando de Noronha's stunning natural environment and the views, whether to the gardens or the ocean, are so pretty you'll feel as if you've entered a postcard.
The crystal-clear waters and pretty sands of Sancho Beach - consistently voted one of the best in the world - are 10 minutes by car from Hamares, while Cachorro, with its natural pools and palm trees, is only five minutes on foot. There are plenty of scuba diving opportunities nearby too, capitalising on the island's status as one of Brazil's premier diving destinations - visibility often exceeds 50 metres! There's also a free shuttle service for exploring more remote beaches, while the central location means you can walk to Vila dos Remedios' shops and restaurant in the evening.
An Atlantic archipelago with glorious beaches and marine life and a heart for conservation.
