The main facilities include several small lounges with WiFi connectivity, a quiet library with an open fireplace, an impressive wine cellar, and a curio shop. In the lush gardens is a large swimming pool and shaded sun lounge, with play areas for children. Breakfasts are served in the Conservatory, and light lunches are available in the beautifully laid out Tented Lounge, or out on the lawns. Dinners are served in the formal dining room and the fabulous “Zinzi” restaurant nearby.
Twenty three thatched suites are well spaced out in the grounds for maximum privacy, from standard Garden Suites, to Family Suites with two double bedrooms, deluxe Pool Suites with private plunge pools, and Master Suites with adjoining rooms which can be linked to make a self-contained house, also with a private plunge pool. The larger suites have their own lounge and dining areas. All are beautifully decorated in subtle natural colours, with fireplaces, outdoor patios, and elegance all round.
Guests are free to ramble through the wonderful estate and enjoy the gardens, forests and lakes. Picnics can be arranged, and spa treatments are available in the privacy of the suites. The lodge is in a perfect position to explore the huge choice of attractions along this part of the Garden Route, with beautiful beaches and lagoons, nature reserves, outdoor adventure activities to suit all ages and abilities, and the popular holiday towns of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay nearby.
