



Jock Lodge's communal area is carefully screened by lush trees and reed walls. It has a library with a TV and DVD player, indoor and outdoor dining facilities, and a gift boutique. Outside, two spacious decks offering stunning views over a swimming pool and the river. The Pilgrims Rest spa and gym is good for working off your dinner or relaxing with a pampering massage.
Accommodation is in 12 luxury rooms, sleeping two adults. Each has an en-suite bathroom, an outdoor shower with a view, aircon, ceiling fans and a minibar, all leading on to a private deck with a plunge pool. Outdoor daybeds overlook the river, so you can settle back with a book from the selection in your suite, or gaze at the animals at the river.
This is wildlife central, so there's lots to see. Take a day or night game drive to see the Big Five, hyaena and many other creatures. In the rainy season, go on a frog safari. Walk through the bush with a guide, to see game, birds or poignant Bushmen paintings; learn about the the stars during stargazing sessions or be pampered at the spa. Children are not forgotten – there's an exciting programme created especially for younger visitors.
