The chef whips up meals made with ingredients from the garden and nearby markets, ranging from Berber to Arabic to international - and the menu changes every day! You might enjoy Berber pancakes with mountain honey in the morning, and end with a feast of charcoal-cooked beef tagine, spice lentil fritters, and amaretto parfait with geranium syrup. Enjoy it in the setting of your choice: on the dining terraces in the garden or the atrium restaurant. Take a dip in the pool with a view, and then watch your cares float off with an aromatherapy massage.
Designed with the uncluttered warmth of a Berber home, the rooms have a neutral palette with fluffy, cream rugs, ornate wooden doors, and (in most) tadelakt fireplaces. All are dotted across the property, ranging from the main towers in the kasbah to the gardens. Furnished with upholstered leather headboards, vintage Moroccan carpets and repurposed Berber trunks, some suites have a private pool (heated to 28° year-round) and others have a private, tropical dining area. With a view of the entire valley, the private villa comes with an open kitchen, sliding 'star' roof and a jet-black infinity pool.
The more sedate activities include picking fresh herbs in the garden and learning to make Berber tea, browsing the nearby markets, and a few hours at the spa. But the kasbah also specialises in epic treks through the national park and hiking to see the waterfalls of Setti Fatma, horseback rides into the northern Atlas foothills (stop for a picnic overlooking the highest peak in North Africa), and rafting in the Ourika Valley if you're looking for something more...
