The facade of L' Habitation is reminiscent an old colonial plantation house, light pitched roofing and white washed balustrades neatly compacted into a home away from home feel. Arriving to a neatly put together reception area with tropical styled furnishings in a novel little lobby. The food is also pretty delicious particularly the Creole dishes served either at the main restaurant or any of the cabanas doted around the grounds.
Eight rooms are found inside the main house, all neatly put together with colorful tropical decor and comfortable wicker furnishings. They lead out onto either a balcony or down a few steps to the garden and poolside. Bathrooms and decor are ever so slightly dated and could do with a facelift, but are still everything is neat and clean. Two individual bungalows, Frangipani and Hibiscus are perfect for honeymooners and couples seeking solitude.
On the hotel grounds you can spend days lazing by the swimming pool gazing out over the ocean or lunching on the grassy embankments under makuti thatch and swaying palms. Make use of the kayaks and snorkeling equipment, if you have not brought you own snorkel that is, to explore the ocean surrounds. Cerf island has a few activities like an art gallery, chapels and cemetery. It is well worth it to organize a local tour of the area.
