Each camp set-up is either on the verge of a woodland or next to a water source, meaning there's always a bit of shade and/or unobstructed views. At the heart of camp is a firepit, surrounded by canvas chairs, and this is where you'll convene for fresh-brewed coffee in the morning and evening drinks, stories and stargazing. The open-sided canvas dining tent hosts a single table where guests enjoy convivial meals of hearty, homemade fare. The charm of glowing lanterns and a well-laid table should never be underestimated!
Although relatively simple, out here the two-person tents will feel like certain luxury. They are tall enough to stand up in and large enough for two twin beds. Beds are covered with quality linens, decent mattresses and feather pillows. At the rear, through a mesh zippered door, you'll find the bathroom, with toilet, basin and bucket shower. Hot water for showering isn't instant, but made to order and despite how it sounds, bathing this way isn't really a hardship and often turns out the favourite experience.
The beauty of doing safari the mobile way is your ever-shifting orientation. You'll become acquainted with a variety of habitats and landscapes, offering an expansive take on the bush. Not only that, your entire experience is geared toward the wilderness, so even your time in camp feels integral to the adventure. Though game drives will comprise the bulk of the activities, you'll also have the chance to explore via other means too. Guided walks give you a closer look into the flora and fauna and offer an tangible quality of connecting to the soil, and water and weather permitting, a mokoro ride through the floodplains is not to be missed.
Embark on a one-of-a-kind safari where few others ever venture and the wildlife is legendary.
