Property details

The property

Guests gather in the large central area at night to share meals and relax in the lounge, discussing their day's experiences and gazing out at the stars. During the day, the free-flowing design of the camp takes full advantage of the surroundings, and views are offered from every comfortably upholstered seat. Deck chairs surround a splash pool that's just the thing for cooling off at the end of a long hot day.

The rooms

This intimate camp has three raised guest tents and one larger family tent, all placed to ensure privacy. The airy rooms have en-suite bathrooms with hot running water (there's a bathtub in the family tent) and the furniture is comfortable, with welcoming sleigh-style beds. Unlike the communal area, the tents have no electricity, but the mosquito-netted windows act as natural air conditioners, allowing in the breeze while blocking insects. With bottled drinking water, a tea station and happy staff to attend to your needs, you can sit back on your private deck and soak in the wilds in style.

Activities

Drift through the waterways in a mokoro, watching the birds and aquatic life; arrange a day or night game drive to search for wildlife; or explore the wilderness on foot, led by a knowledgeable, and armed, guide. Keen on fishing? Try your hand at catching tilapia in the waterways. Alternatively, head for the skies in a helicopter to take in the extraordinary, panoramic views.(Flights last 30 minutes.)
