From the slightly raised perch of the main area, you'll have excellent views over the swamplands and floodplain beyond. The open-sided structure houses a long bar counter and the dining and lounge areas with plenty of shade and seating. Stylish furnishings that are both modern and quintessentially African, give it a clean, understated feel that isn't distracting and is just the right amount of luxury in the bush. A sandy campfire area on a small bank above the hippo-filled floodplain, is the hub for evening beverages under the stars.
On a raised deck with shady outdoor seating, tents are spacious without being huge. You'll have everything you need: a double bed, writing desk, plenty of lighting and an ensuite bathroom with shower and a single basin. You'll find sliding doors that can be thrust wide for unobstructed views of the floodplain. The only thing tent-like are the canvas walls.
No doubt your guide will keep you busy here, as the name of the game in this area is chasing predators. The only thing you might want for is a few minutes to catch your breath. But this is an exclusive, sole-use camp, so you can determine the pace of your day. To make the most of this region, however, be sure to take a guided walk (when water levels allow), get out on a night drive or two and bring a pair of binoculars to experience the plethora of waterfowl. Adventure camp guides are known to be some of the best in the business.
Linyanti Tented Camp is owned by Wilderness safaris which aims to double its conservation impact by 2030, protecting 6 million acres of land.
