About Mango House Seychelles

An inspired home-turned-hotel with gorgeous suites & sensational views on Mahé's coast.

Idyllic and utterly dreamy come to mind when arriving at the Mango House for the first time. Located in the deep south of the Seychelles' capital island, Mahé, the Mango House gazes out across miles of liquid blue stretching towards the horizon. Born out of the creative mind of esteemed photographer, Gian Paolo Barbieri, the house is all about aesthetics with its light and art-filled rooms, and walls of glass so you never miss a moment of that view. They didn't hold back when it comes to dining options either and there are five stellar spots to choose from.

Property details

The property

The Mango House's design is eternally fresh with floor-to-ceiling windows, bursts of blue and nods to its island locale – like the very pretty shell-inspired lights. There is an array of dining options, from rich Italian dishes to creative Japanese cuisine and the Seychelles' own Creole delicacies (the menu is entirely designed by a local team). At sunset, be sure to plant yourself at Kokoye for an expertly-mixed drink. Overlooking the Anse aux Poules Bleues bay, the tranquil spa will send your cares sailing out the window.

The rooms

The house has a selection of 41 rooms and suites, all with king-sized beds draped in white linens and netting (and a pillow menu to boot), glamorous bathroom and private balcony with sensational views of the bay and Mahé beyond. The options range from premium rooms and suites to the three-bedroom bay house, which comes with its own plunge pool. Some also enjoy an extended sitting and dining area, as well as a terrace and outdoor daybed for those sun-kissed snoozes.

Activities

You could easily spend all day lounging on the private beach or cruising the bay in a glass-bottomed boat, looking out for any marine life that should pop up. Alternatively, choose to explore the island's interiors on foot or bike, or soar overhead in a helicopter. A guided wildlife tour with a private ranger can be organised too. There is also a selection of nearby golf courses if you fancy teeing off or venture across the water to enjoy La Digue's famous beaches.

This may not be the place for really young families, but for those with older kids, the Cliff House is a fantastic choice.
