About Masseria Torre Coccaro

A fortified gem in the heart of Puglia where history and hospitality shine.

In the sun-soaked embrace of Puglia's countryside, this 16th-century fortified farmhouse now offers a sublime escape that epitomizes the region's understated charm. Originally built as part of a defensive line against Saracen invasions, the whitewashed tower now stands as a testament to centuries gone by, complete with an ancient pigeon tower once used for wartime communication.

Property details

The property

Centuries-old olive groves encircle the main buildings, which cluster around a charming courtyard dressed in traditional Puglian style - all ivory walls and subtle taupe accents. The Tower Bar, nestled within the historic structure, invites evening drinks by the fireplace, while four restaurants showcase ingredients plucked from the property's own working farms and gardens. A secluded pool hides among the olive trees, and an Aveda spa offers blissful respite after days spent exploring. For the young explorers, a kids' club, playground and water play area with slides ensure entertainment for all ages.

The rooms

Forty unique rooms scattered throughout the masseria blend boutique styling with historic character. Cool ivory and taupe interiors create welcome shelter from the Mediterranean sun, while many rooms extend into private garden terraces with grassy patches and sun loungers. Some offer distant sea views that shimmer on the horizon, others look onto neatly arranged olive groves that have produced their liquid gold for centuries. All come equipped with Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and televisions, though you may find yourself ignoring modern distractions in favor of the timeless landscape beyond your window.

Insiders tip

Insiders Tip

For the best experience, time your stay to enjoy both the historic farmstead and the private beach club - the shuttle ride through olive groves that gradually give way to sand dunes is an experience in itself.

Though equidistant between Fasano town and the sea, you'll need the shuttle service or a taxi for both - not ideal if you prefer walkable locations.
