Overlooking the lake, there is an open-sided pavilion where the chefs serve a varied menu of local and international fare. Tuck into hearty, multi-course lunches and dinner buffets, where you can swap stories from the day - there will be many! In between action-packed hikes, there is an airy lounge with high-backed, woven chairs to enjoy a cocktail from the bar or a new read. For a better look at the sprawling jungle, head to the 36-metre-high canopy tower.
Every inch the jungle hideaway, the cabins and suites are well-protected by swathes of greenery and were designed with materials from across Ecuador. Decorated from ceiling to floor in mahogany, the rooms feature chunky and oh-so-comfortable wooden beds draped in netting, and a private balcony with swaying hammocks from where you can take in the stunning surrounds. The suites also have a sunken Jacuzzi and transparent floor in the the lounge, offering a bird's-eye-view of the lagoon. Look out for lurking caiman...
Here in the Amazon, epic hikes are guaranteed. They range from easy walks into the forest to more difficult treks, but there's always something to see, from the tiniest hummingbirds to startling spider monkeys - and the large wildlife. You'll also enjoy tranquil canoe rides down the Napo River and its tributaries, where the waters are a constant wonder. Look out for beady-eyed caiman, piranhas and turtles gliding by. You'll also have the chance to witness the flurry of activity at a parrot lick, where they dine on the mineral-rich clay and chatter wildly.
