During renovations, the old farmhouse was completely reimagined but the soul of the place definitely remains intact. Passionate about the local arts, the owners have filled the space with artworks, old and new, and the furniture is a glorious mix of traditional and contemporary. Outside, the wraparound terrace is the natural place for evening drinks overlooking the sands. In the kitchen, Chef Jessica Ambrosio handles the food, focusing on regional ingredients and what she calls "affective cooking," which basically means everything tastes like nothing you've ever had before!
OIÁ Casa Lençóis has eight suites spread between the main house and three bungalows. In the bungalows are 31-square-metre suites that offer complete privacy, whilst also keeping you connected to the main social areas if you want company. Every white-washed room features King-size beds with the softest of linens, aircon, and those ever-present details: furniture from up-and-coming designers, regional crafts and bright cushions and design pieces. The upstairs rooms in the main house have exceptional views across the park, whilst the bungalows feel shady and private.
Positioned right at the edge of the Lençóis park, OIÁ Casa Lençóis gives you access to remote dunes and lagoons that most tourists never see. On land, explore by 4x4 or quad bike, or take to the water in a kayak. But the piece de resistance is the seasonal lagoons that form on the property - something that not many will ever experience. Back at the hotel, yoga and massages are also available, as are visits and (sometimes) talks with local artisans, whilst evenings might involve candlelit dinners, sunset drinks, or stargazing sessions under unbelievably clear skies.

Wind-swept dunes watch over shimmering, freshwater lagoons in this fantasmagorical setting.
