The complex spans 30,000 square meters across two dramatically different buildings connected by manicured garden paths. There are also six dining and drinking destinations, including the classic café, Le Jardin, and a sultry jazz bar, Rabo di Galo, serving everything from light lunches to sumptuous, four-course affairs.

All 181 rooms feature Starck's sophisticated Brazilian modernism with polished wood-panelled walls, bespoke furniture, and curated art objects from guitars and traditional instruments to original works in spice-rack hues. The tower rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies, while the historic building suites include enormous lounges, fireplaces and beautiful balconies with arched French doors. Bathrooms are marble sanctuaries with walk-in rain showers, Toto toilets, and Votary toiletries. The crown jewel, however, is the 12,000 square foot penthouse with double-height living areas, a rooftop jungle garden, and the infinity pool overlooking Avenida Paulista. Wow.
