Property details

The property

With its tiered courtyards and bold design, Samode Haveli lives up to its royal heritage. From the exquisite dining room decked out in hand-painted frescoes and glimmering chandeliers to the veranda lounge with a cushy spot to enjoy afternoon tea, Samode Haveli does dining in style. For your rejuvenating needs, the spa offers deeply relaxing, aromatic Ayurvedic massages. Beautiful carved arches lead you from high-ceilinged rooms to the hotel's many courtyards and at Samode's center, an inviting pool and bubbling jacuzzi awaits. Grab a cocktail from the bar (which is gorgeous too!) and recline on a daybed beneath one of the poolside salas.

The rooms

There's a collection of 39 deluxe rooms and suites, each unique in colour and design (from the more monochrome to bright mustard). Large vintage beds, classic wooden furnishings and eclectic artworks are accompanied by a well-stocked mini bar, coffee and tea facilities, and satellite TV. The en-suite bathrooms are definitely on the modern side and have lovely deep bathtubs and organic toiletries. A selection of deluxe suites also come with a private balcony or patio, overlooking the fountains and courtyards.

Activities

Discover the many vibrant bazaars, serene temples and monuments - including the world's largest stone sundial at Jantar Mantar. You'll also find royal spots like the impressive City Palace and the Jal Mahal, which sits like a mirage upon the water. Take in city and mountain views from the fascinating Nahargarh Fort or go on a little hiking excursion to Hathni Kund (we promise, the view is epic). Besides its reputation as a mesmerizing city, you'll also find nature parks like Nahargarh Sanctuary or the amazing Elefantastic Elephant Sanctuary where you can meet with, walk and feed the ellies.

Something to think about

Samode Haveli is right in the city and the best views are of the, albeit lovely, courtyard. So, you'll have to head out and about to enjoy the sights.
