Property details

The property

Extensively refurbished with sumptuous seating areas on a curvaceous, raised deck, the main area is home to a newly designed bar, library and a tempting pizza oven. An orientation room provides guests with additional information on the Delta whilst various other treats lie in store for children at their special retreat, home to a play station, a fancy dress corner, and interactive nature and foosball tables. Energetic adults can let off any excess steam in the fitness centre.

The rooms

Award-winning, stylish accommodation takes the form of 10 bush pavilions and a luxury suite, each with its own private pool. The bathrooms have been redesigned and offer a large outdoor shower and a roomy bathtub which lend breathtaking, uninhibited views over the Delta. Named after luxury safari pioneer, Geoffrey Kent, the spacious Suite sleeps 4-6 guests and is adorned with interesting artifacts from his travels. It lays claim to its own private guide, housekeeper, bar, waiter and Boma.

Activities

Take advantage of the awe-inspiring game viewing by partaking in the morning and afternoon safari drives. Be sure to keep an extra eye out for cats, ranging from large to small, and the rare wild dog. When the floodwaters are in, steal quietly along the river in a mokoro; dug-out canoes traditionally used by the BaYei people. For fantastic views and a new angle on photographic opportunities, an optional extra is to take a scenic flight towards the permanent Delta.
