Exquisitely designed and perched high up in the Hill Country, Santani wows from the first moment you see her. The minimalist interiors are not only stunning, but ensure nothing detracts from the surrounding landscapes. In the restaurant in particular, floor-to-ceiling glass walls ensure maximum panoramic reach whilst you dine. Food is focused on the ancient concept of '6 tastes' and is healthy and tasty. The spa is the main draw and in addition to the treatment rooms, there's a sauna, steam room, and thermal salt bath.

There are 16 mountain view chalets and they certainly live up to their name. Simple constructions of glass and timber and with sparkling interiors, it's the sweeping vistas that really steal the show - and as well they should! Each room also has a balcony, high-thread count sheets, a walk-in rain shower and open-plan, gleaming bathroom. Four garden view chalets are designed for families (the retreat welcomes children of 12 and over).

As you would expect from a wellness resort, the treatments and spa are absolutely out of this world. There are five wellness packages to choose from, each focusing on different goals from sleep enhancement to effective detox and cleansing. General treatments include everything from deep tissue and lomi lomi massages to Ayurvedic treatments by a resident doctor, as well as free yoga sessions. Outside, hike in the surrounding forests and tea fields and explore everything the natural world has to offer. Truly the perfect place to get away from it all!
