Set within perfectly manicured gardens (complete with pretty fountains and bridges) and with such perfect stretch of beach a mere stone's throw away, you'd think Santiburi would struggle to compete with its surroundings. Well, we're pleased to report it doesn't. There's a pool for splashing, a spa for relaxing and not one but two excellent restaurants offering everything from local Thai cuisine to deliciously seared seafood. It's one of those resorts where we can comfortably say you'll never get bored.
There's a large selection of rooms to choose from, ranging from the perfectly comfortable One Bedroom Duplex Suites, all the way up to the Grand Deluxe Pool Villas. Where you stay is up to you (we do love the villas that come with their own private pools), but rest assured that whichever you choose you'll enjoy sparkling bathrooms, air conditioning, and pretty garden or beach views.
There's plenty to keep busy at Santiburi and the hotel has a reputation for its very well-equipped fitness centre, as well the pristine nearby golf course that offers a discount for hotel guests. Also vying for your attention are mountain bikes, windsurfing, hobie cats, yoga lessons, squash, tennis and boat trips. Those travelling with children will be thrilled with the kids club that's on offer - little ones can take part in Thai dance lessons, karaoke, Muay Thai boxing and trampolining. Which means you're free to enjoy that beach and the spa...
Enjoy an all-out beach bliss-out in Thailand’s second largest island or be as active as you dare…
