Property details

The property

The lodge seems to emerge organically from its surroundings, with natural materials and earthy tones creating a sense of peaceful harmony with the landscape. The main areas flow seamlessly between indoor and outdoor living, featuring an inviting swimming pool, various alfresco dining spots, and a splendid bar. A dedicated spa offers welcome respite after exciting game drives, while the elevated viewing platforms prove perfect for afternoon wildlife spotting (gin and tonic optional, but highly recommended).

The rooms

Fifteen luxury tents (including one fabulous two-bedroom family option) dot the landscape, each offering front-row seats to the wildlife theatre along the river. Private decks encourage quiet contemplation of the passing parade, while the interiors showcase a masterclass in sophisticated safari. They offer a comfortable retreat with touches of local craftsmanship. En-suite bathrooms complete the picture of understated luxury, making each tent a peaceful refuge after adventurous days.

Activities

The focus is on the morning and afternoon game drives which generally yield a good return for your efforts, especially in terms of predator sightings. Other (self-drive) tourists are allowed to utilize the same area in Moremi, where night drives are not permitted; thus, most evening drives usually take place in the community concession, where you can carry on after dark with a spotlight. Be sure to go for a nature walk on the community land, as well as visit the local village for a cultural experience.
