Property details

The property

There are six properties in total, all located in villages and hamlets around Leh: Stok, Shey, Nimmu, Likir and Igu. The properties are uniquely-designed with their own character, whilst still sticking to the traditional style of the region. All houses have dining rooms (always with the best views), lounge areas and rooftop terraces; choose your lounging spot wisely and drink up that scenery! Each house also comes complete with a full complement of staff, including a private chef to whip up delicious meals and a private guide to show you the sites.

The rooms

Each property features three bedrooms, all with double or twin beds, and the majority have their own ensuite bathrooms as well. The bedrooms are stylishly decorated and maintain a connection to local designs with white-washed walls, richly-woven Tibetan carpets and 'chettai’ matt floors. The houses are always booked exclusively, no matter the size of your party.

Activities

There's no end of things to do up here and you can mix and match activities as your heart desires. Each property has a local guide who'll be able to advise you on your stay and will work with you to pick out activities you'll love. Walking is the true highlight and exploring this glorious landscape on foot is breathtaking, but there are also opportunities to raft, mountain bike, try your hand at archery, cook, camp, meditate, explore local temples and much more - truly something for everyone.

Insiders Tip

We recommended combing a night or two at one of the lower-altitude houses to acclimatise, before heading higher for the remainder of your stay.
Something to think about

Something to think about

Don't expect luxury here. All required mod-cons are present, but to stay in the houses is really about simple comfort and Himalayan charm.
