The Camp House sits at the heart of the camp. It's the the perfect point for guests to gather, enjoy an evening meal, and discuss the day's adventurings - and perhaps swap notes for the following day! In between drives, chill out on the veranda with a mango juice or venture to the well-stocked library and see what you can find. There are lovely local artworks and paintings on show that can all be purchased too. And if you want to cool off, a trip down to the water for a wild swim is just the ticket.
There are six tents in the grounds, each smartly decorated with fresh white linens and block-printed cottons. Each contains a large, comfortable bed and plenty of power points for camera-charging, as well as ensuite bathrooms fully stocked with gorgeous, 100% natural products. Netted windows keep things cool and there's also a shaded veranda outside - get up early and spot the resident birds, or sit out under the stars at night.
The drawcard for the area is, of course, the iconic wildlife and daily morning and evening drives are on offer (apart from Wednesday afternoons, interestingly) in search of local beasties and tigers. In the morning, you'll take a packed picnic breakfast to maximise tiger-spotting time. The camp can also arrange bicycle tours through the surrounding rice fields and into local villages for a cup of chai with the locals.
Release your inner Mowgli in Kanha, a true Jungle Book hideaway and prime tiger wilderness.
