Dotted around the ample grounds, there is a selection of tents to choose from - all set on a base of Jaisalmer stone under white canvas. Take your pick from Luxury Tents (which don't come with their own pool), Luxury Tented Suites with a heated plunge pool and jacuzzi jets, or the Royal Tented Suite, which has its own spa, idyllic private pool, dining and lounge tents - all rounded off with the attentive service of your private butler. Each tent comes with a king size bed, much-needed air con, wardrobe and an old-school writing desk. You'll also find an airy veranda with a comfy seating area overlooking the desertscape.

Before heading into Jaisalmer to discover the historic fort with its ornate Jain temples, The Serai has plenty to do.
