The Taj Krishna is located near the Old City of Hyderabad, deep in the Banjara Hills on 13 acres of lush green grounds, with views of the heart-shaped Hussain Sagar lake. Such a placement makes it an ideal spot for history buffs looking to get under the skin of the Hyderabad of old, as well as travellers looking explore its modern twin, Secunderabad. A stalwart on the Hyderabad hotel scene, the Krishna is proudly traditional and prides itself on good, friendly service, always with a smile. The property

Traditionally and wonderfully Indian, the lobby of the Taj Krishna is all polished marble, enormous pillars and extravagant floral displays. If you're lucky, you may even catch a wedding party having their photographs taken. Outside, the gardens are beautifully-kept and there's a swimming pool with bar and plenty of loungers.The hotel is also renowned for its gastronomic offerings, most notably the incredible136 breakfast options!

The rooms

The Taj Krishna is not small and there is vast 248 rooms and 13 suites to choose from. Recently refurbished, the wooden-floored rooms are light and bright and some of the traditional, heavy furniture has been replaced by more modern items. All rooms have King or twin beds with a choice of pillows, ensuite bathrooms, bath salt menus, and 24 hour room service. Choose your own view and decide if you want to overlook the city, lake or gardens and pool.

Activities

Enjoy the advantages of being so close to the city and head out to explore the famous pearl shops, beautiful textile boutiques, Golconda Fort, Salarjung Museum and much more. Back at base, there's plenty of places to prop up tired feet, whether that's on the sprawling lawns, in the pool or on the rooftop, cocktail in hand. In fact, there's even a luxury shopping arcade in the hotel itself if you like your shopping to be close at hand.
