Built entirely on stilts over the glimmering Marina Bay, this 100-room hotel (practically boutique in Singapore standards) is the star of the historic Fullerton Heritage precinct. A cleverly-designed glass box, it appears to hover over the water, yet pays homage to its maritime roots through an incredible location at the historic Clifford Pier, once the landing point for immigrants and travellers arriving by ship in the 1930s. Andre Fu's sophisticated aesthetic creates a journey from past to present from the moment you pass through the pier's iconic arches and enter the artistic world - and it's made only more magical by the hotel's heady signature scent.

Andre Fu's design masterfully transitions through the soaring Art Deco-style Clifford Pier, past The Landing Point's dramatically-suspended cylindrical chandelier, and into spaces adorned with dark jewel tones and commissioned contemporary art. And then the food: visit La Brasserie for modern French cuisine alongside floor-to-ceiling windows or stop by The Landing Point for the legendary afternoon tea complete with Boston Lobster cornets and white truffle egg mayo sandwiches. But it's the rooftop that hogs the limelight, however, with its 25-meter infinity pool, partially submerged sun loungers and two jacuzzis, plus the Lantern Bar – one of the bay's most coveted sundowner spots.
All 100 rooms showcase Fu's sophisticated design with polished rosewood, leather and glitzy, golden accents. Floor-to-ceiling double-glazed windows flood the space with natural light and you'll be gazing over either Marina Bay or the Clifford Pier. Outside, every room has a private balcony, and inside, you'll find Nespresso machines and snazzy, automated blinds. Ivory limestone and yellow marbled bathrooms have separate tubs and rain showers, and all are stocked with Balmain amenities. The six individually-themed suites reflect Singapore's multicultural heritage, each named after former Governors of the Straits Settlements. Two Premier Bay View Jacuzzi Rooms also have private en-suite jacuzzis overlooking the water.
Each evening, you'll enjoy front-row seats to Marina Bay's spectacular light and water show directly from your room or the rooftop. During the day, there are plenty of curated activities on offer, including cocktail-making workshops, vintage Rolls Royce sightseeing tours, local culinary workshops, and Vespa sidecar tours of the precinct. We also love the historic Fullerton Maritime Journey Tour that explores seven heritage landmarks and reveals Singapore's colonial past through the eyes of the expert guides. You're also within minutes of the National Gallery, Merlion Park, the Gardens by the Bay, plus Boat Quay's riverside dining and Lau Pa Sat hawker center for authentic local fare.
Lantern's rooftop perch delivers front-row seats to Marina Bay Sands' nightly light shows, accompanied by craft cocktails, of course.
Non-guests are welcomed at The Fullerton Bay's restaurants and watering holes, so we highly recommend making your reservations early.
The hotel doesn't have a spa, but you do have access to the facilities at its sister property, reached via a climate-controlled underground passage.
A whole world of street-food smoke, neon gardens and sky-high cocktails in one tiny island.
