About The Leela Goa

A luxury waterside resort in tropical, sun-kissed Goa
Cross a fabulous resort with all the trappings and a hint of Goan remoteness and you have The Leela. The luxury resort is set on 75 acres of juicy nature and surrounded by swaying palms, flower filled lagoons, and plenty of creamy beaches. As soon as you arrive and find a garland of flowers set around your neck and a cooling coconut drink pressed into your hand, you'll feel like you've landed in a tropical paradise. In fact, it's so delightful, you might not want to leave at all.

Property details

The property

This sprawling resort lives up to every exotic beach dream. The Portuguese and Indian architecture is light, breezy and elegant, and everywhere you look there's a pretty scene to feast your eyes upon. There's a 12-hole golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts, a gym and a spa with steam room and sauna all on-site and the beach is within walking distance. There's also an excellent array of dining options from Riverside, specialising in refined Italian fare, to the relaxed, beachside dining at Susegado.

The rooms

There are 206 rooms to choose from at the Leela Goa, ranging from Lagoon Terrace Rooms to Suites and beautiful private Villas. The entry level rooms definitely aren't to be sniffed at with their balconies and lagoon views, but the suites step it up a notch, doubling in size and offering not one but two private balconies and a living room to relax in. The two-bedroom villas are the ultimate luxury with private jacuzzis, plunge pools, Italian marble bathrooms and views across the golf course to the sea.

Activities

The Leela is definitely geared towards those who enjoy having everything at their fingertips. There's not much you really need to leave for, and you could spend days just wandering the grounds. If you're feeling active, enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf, then wander the beach, swim in the pools or indulge at the spa... If you really can drag yourself away, Goa has some pretty villages to explore so hire a driver and see what you can find.

Why we love it

Why we love it

If lying on a sun lounger sounds like torture, you'll more than enjoy skipping between the golf course, tennis court, beach and bar...

For a dining experience to remember, don something fancy and head to Jamaver, the Leela's signature restaurant and a homage to the best of Indian tastes.

The resort is large and luxurious and definitely not subtle - not for lovers of boutique boltholes!
