This sprawling resort lives up to every exotic beach dream. The entry level rooms definitely aren't to be sniffed at with their balconies and lagoon views, but the suites step it up a notch, doubling in size and offering not one but two private balconies and a living room to relax in. The two-bedroom villas are the ultimate luxury with private jacuzzis, plunge pools, Italian marble bathrooms and views across the golf course to the sea.

The Leela is definitely geared towards those who enjoy having everything at their fingertips. There's not much you really need to leave for, and you could spend days just wandering the grounds. If you're feeling active, enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf, then wander the beach, swim in the pools or indulge at the spa... If you really can drag yourself away, Goa has some pretty villages to explore so hire a driver and see what you can find.
