The Singular Santiago

In tones of chocolate, tan and olive, The Singular is stylish yet warm, its walls decorated with vintage maps, magazine covers and illustrations of local birdlife. There are shelves of books waiting to be read too. Ground-floor Bar Merced is a casual spot, but take it up a notch in the 9th-floor bar that's quite the nightlife hotspot with its signature cocktails inspired by Chile. Dinner is served at The Singular Restaurant - choose from a variety of French-inspired dishes using the freshest Chilean ingredients. The rooftop pool offers delightful views all the way to San Cristobal Hill and the Celtic Spa uses a blend of eucalyptus, orange and lavender in their soothing treatments.

The rooms range in taste and size (reaching up to 861 square feet). Choose from vintage glamour with images of the Eiffel Tower on the wall, edgy, industrial-style furnishings, or Asian-inspired geometric artwork. Some rooms enjoy a private patio, whilst others have a Juliet balcony, but all feature a soft palette of cream, champagne and wood, plush furnishings and high thread-count sheets on King-size or twin beds. The bathrooms are luxurious and set in marble with a generous tub, wide mirror and walk-in shower.

Santiago is a blend of contemporary and historical, and you'll experience plenty of both. Frequent the cafes and art galleries in the area, enjoy the scenery at the Parque Forestal and the many museums nearby, or take in the city all at once from the famous Sky Costanera tower. An alternative view can be found at the top of San Cristobal Hill, before you visit the ornate (and very purple) Paarish Vera Cruz, and the museum of Pre-Columbian art.
