There are a maximum of 6 Meru-style tents individually set-up in a prime location overlooking the world-renown Chief's Island. Each of the tents sleeps 2 people, which means the camp can accommodate 12 people in total. This is the perfect place for an intimate crowd that favours an authentic "glamping" experience where the focus is on game viewing, activities and staying in a remote location. Xaxaba Camp is a rustic camp, but offers all the basics and comforts from home. You will sleep on raised beds and enjoy exhilarating outdoor bucket showers, while all your other basic needs will be tended to.
Each of the 6 tents at Xaxaba Camp sleeps 2 people on individual stretchers. Comfortable linen, pillows and a mattress is provided, ensuring a good night's sleep. Each tent has an ensuite canvas bathroom complete with bucket shower and eco-bush toilet. To freshen and spruce up, you are provided with standing hand basins that are constantly renewed with fresh water. There is also a seating area just outside your tent, complete with a canvas shade cover.
Xaxaba offers the best of both land and water game viewing; where guests can indulge in mokoro trips, boating, fishing and walking safaris.
