The main area is in the centre of the camp. It is raised up on stilts like the rest of the camp and is right on the banks of the river. The dining room, lounge and bar areas are all housed here. Meals are often served on the deck at the front of the main area, weather permitting. Tables and chairs are spread around a sunken firepit, for cosy gatherings. The jetty where boating activities depart from is here too.
Accommodation at Zambezi Sands is in eight secluded, luxurious, Bedouin-style tents facing the river. Each one offers complete privacy with private decks and plunge pools. The rooms are elegantly decorated and very spacious. They feature twin or double beds, a lounge area, a stocked mini-bar, an en-suite bathroom, an outdoor shower, a private splash pool and electricity by diesel or solar generator. Bath robes, mosquito nets and complimentary laundry facilities are also provided.
Cruise on the Zambezi River amongst the islands near the lodge and enjoy the river, its wildlife and the sunset with complimentary drinks and snacks. Go on game drives on traditional open safari vehicles or on game walks in the Park - both with fully licensed and highly experienced professional guides. Guided canoe trips along the Zambezi River and guided fishing expeditions are also available. Picnic lunches can be requested for island picnics. Visits to Victoria Falls can be arranged.
