Property details

The property

Amanpuri is the perfect blend of being just isolated enough to feel like you're the only person on the planet, but also within strolling distance of nearby bars and restaurants if you fancy some human interactions (maybe). Inside, it's a sleek Thai paradise of dreams, with plenty of rich, polished wood, peaceful walled gardens, inviting pools, and luxurious pavilions. With five restaurants to choose from, your tastebuds will be spoilt for choice: enjoy everything from local Thai cuisine, to delicate Japanese dishes and even exquisitely prepared Mediterranean dishes.

The rooms

The stylish, temple-roofed pavilions are scattered throughout the property, each chicly decorated and exuding elegance. Sunken bathtubs, sun decks, outdoor showers, King-size beds, Wifi, sound systems, personal bars and private dining areas are all standard, but those looking to luxe up their stay can book a pavilion with a private pool and an even better view of that beautiful Andaman sea.

Activities

Aqua adventures abound and water babies have their pick of scuba diving, jet skiing, paddle boarding, water skiing, flyboarding and even Schiller biking! PADI courses are available and the calm waters are spoiling. There's also a spa to bliss out in, with 12 heavenly rooms and a range of treatments focused on traditional Thai techniques and Chinese medicines. If you're feeling active, pack tennis shoes and venture to the courts, or hit the gym for a Pilates class or a boxing lesson. And if none of that suits, how about a cooking lesson with one of Aman's master chefs?

Insiders Tip

Be sure to make the most of that private beach. Technically, like all other Thai beaches, it's public but as it can only be accessed by the hotel or boat you'll have it all to yourself...

Something to think about

Whilst the food is delectable, it can be on the pricey side - your tastebuds will appreciate it though.
