In the central canvas tent, there's a long, finely set dining table and at night, lanterns light your way. Outside, the campfire has an uninterrupted view of the stars.
The luxury roving camps exemplify the height of bush comfort and exclusivity (the owners are consummate hospitality professionals). Whether on the edge of a lagoon in the Delta or in a scrubby thicket in the Kalahari, your tent travels wherever you go. The canvas, meru-style tents have a shaded porch that is furnished with a few camp chairs, perfect for lazy afternoons after busy mornings of game-viewing. Enter the mesh-zipper door and you'll find a comfortable super king sized bed, pleasantly made with good linens and heavy blankets. At the rear of the tent is a canvas alcove with a flushing toilet and a bucket shower for an authentic bush experience.
Depending on the destinations (remember, there are nine), activities for your eight-day adventure will vary. In the Delta and Savuti, explore the seasonal floodplains in a dugout canoe, getting close to waterbirds and amphibious life. In the Chobe National Park, continue your game-viewing on a cruise down the river. In Xai Xai, walk the Kalahari's complex landscape with a San Bushman and learn from their ancient well of knowledge. And of course you will have many opportunities to go on game-drives for some amazing wildlife sightings. Watch the sunrise, picnic on sandbanks, sip cocktails at sunset, sleep under the stars. All this and more awaits you in this bespoke wilderness experience.
