The Holiday Inn's main drawcard is its proximity to the airport, but you'd never know it from the soundproofed rooms. The hotel is super mod with slate-grey walls, clean architecture and gleaming facilities, which include a gym, sauna and heated indoor pool. The Grill restaurant has a classic, uncluttered feel and spills onto an alfresco patio, with an international menu accompanied by Chilean wines. The Boarding Bar has a relaxed atmosphere, where you can snack on appetisers and enjoy a cocktail.
The rooms are set across six floors, each decorated with contemporary, polished furnishings and built for comfort. They are all pleasingly sound-proofed and have black-out shades as well as a pillow menu for a good night's rest. The en-suite bathrooms are pristine and well-finished with a walk-in shower, while other amenities include a tea and coffee station, a TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi. It doesn't matter what time you check in either, as room-service is available from 10 am to 5 am every day.
You'll be more than comfortable enjoying a little shut-eye in your room or taking a dip in the pool, but there's plenty to see if you fancy venturing out. Ride the funicular to the top of San Cristobal Hill for a stunning view of the city, visit any one of its many museum's for a look at Pre-Columbian Chile or the more modern art scene, or take a stroll through the 16th-century Plaza de Armas for a look at its churches.
