Inca Trail Trek

On this iconic expedition you will follow the footprints of the Incas when they travelled to Machu Picchu Sanctuary. The Inca trail,or Qhapaq Ñan,is alive with the mystery of the Incas and an example of the impressive road system they constructed to integrate their empire. During the four days of this extraordinary historical journey you will be part of the Andean world and along the route you will have the opportunity visit various archaeological sites while enjoying the varied ecosystems and their fascinating plants and wildlife. When you reach the high point of the trail you will be at an altitude of 4,215m.(13,829 ft.) from where you will get a beautiful view of the Sacred Mountains and Valley of the Incas. From there you will descend through cloud forest with its wonderful biodiversity, before reaching the entrance to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu. This trek includes complete mountain gear, allowing you to enjoy the campsites to the fullest to get a good night’s rest and recharge for the next day.
